How is the CVD900 different from the WVD900? The CVD 900 as mentioned above offers the ability to tackle wet and dry waste without the need to change filters, floats or even bags. This really sets the CVD apart from the WV and WVD range of vacuum cleaners that require a wet float and dry filter basket to be used independently.

This saves on downtime and also protects the vacuum from being accidentally used for dry applications whilst a wet filter is fitted and vice-versa. Do I need to use bags with the CVD900? No - this is a bagless vacuum cleaner, it allows you to use the machine for general dry cleaning applications without having to install a vacuum bag. The internal dry filter that sits on top of the wet float catches any dust and debris, its large surface area and easy to clean composition mean that vacuum bags on this machine are a thing of the past.

How often do the filters need cleaning? The filters on this machine need cleaning at the end of the day or when the suction drops off, this is a simple process that just requires them being rinsed under the hosepipe. The secondary filter (pancake type) needs to then be left to dry before being used again.

How good is the suction on the CVD 900? We were very impressed with the suction on the CVD, it easily matches and even improves upon the performance on previous generations of a vacuum cleaner. The new 1060W motors offer fantastic suction when compared to the less efficient older 1200W motors. Yes, as this machine shares so many components with other machines in the Numatic range there are already spares available for the machine, this includes spare filters (so that you can have one drying whilst using another after cleaning). How durable is the vacuum?

The vacuum is made from StructoFoam which is a lightweight and very durable material, it is exceptionally strong and able to deal with daily knocks and scrapes often incurred in an industrial environment. It is well suited to builders who stash their machine away in the back of their van at the end of the day with cement mixers etc. The power cable can also be changed without the need for any special tools or electrical knowledge (apart from unplugging the vacuum first).

This saves on maintenance and repair costs. How do i empty the machine? The vacuum has an incorporated tip handle allowing the machine to be tipped over the handle and quickly emptied, regardless of if the waste is wet or dry.
