Great brush, does what it was advertised to do! Thanks so much for making these.
Thanks for the recently supplied record brush, an excellent item. It performs better than I could have expected, and looks great too. My previous brush was a combo of polyamide and carbon fibre, and whilst it was reasonably effective, produced a lot of static. I had to use a Zerostat pistol in conjunction, or the records would be welded to the platter. The Zerostat is currently redundant, as your brush lives up to the claims, in a way that few things do. Handcrafted perfection is the Mk10 Dry and Mk11 Hart LP Wet and Dry Super Cleaner.
Grit, dust and debris trapped in the groove impedes the styli's ability to track the waveform that is the groove. And causes, distortion, mis-tracking, this also causes wear to both expensive stylus diamond tips and vinyl. It is advisable to get both a Mk 11 for using wet and a Mk 10 for use dry as even after wet cleaning with the Mk 11 once the record is dry a good clean with a dry Mk 10 both before and after play. The wet cleaning fluid we recommend is 5% isopropyl alcohol, distilled water and one drop of unscented liquid soap per 250ml in a dunking dish. Place the record on a cloth covered flat surface, and work the fluid into and with the groove with the Mk 11, wash the Mk 11 in clean distilled water before rinsing the record with fresh distilled water.
Change the distilled water if it becomes less than perfectly clear. After the record is dry it is advisable to use a dry Mk 10 SuperCleaner. Rather than wait for the Mk 11 to dry. If you enjoy the pleasure of maintaining your records in a noiseless playback condition and want to save wear to your prized vinyl and stylus then the SuperCleaner is the vinyl cleaning solution system for you.The Hart Vinyl SuperCleaner ruled winner and best vinyl cleaning brush tested by Michael Fremer'Very Effective! The SuperCleaner de-stats the record too, by using unique synthetic fibre polymers that create + & - ion charge equilibrium to stop dust clinging to a record during play and storage. Ultrasonic use should be limited to 5 minutes and only once.
